Chuck Taylor Resigns From DOE’s Charter School Accountability Committee

Sources say Chuck Taylor, the President of the Delaware Charter Schools Network governing board and also the Head of School at Providence Creek Academy, has resigned from the Delaware Department of Education’s Charter School Accountability Committee.  This committee handles formal reviews, charter renewals, and modification decisions.

Taylor resigned from Providence Creek Academy in June 2013, but recently returned as head of school.  As PCA is going through their charter renewal, it would have been a major conflict of interest for Taylor to serve on the committee that makes the recommendations for renewal.  The DOE has not announced a replacement for Taylor at this point in time.
