Dr. Wilma Mishoe sets precedent at Delaware State University, after being elected as the first interim president at Delaware State University, alongside Dr. Devona Williams who is her Vice Chairperson.  Together they have made history being elected as the first two women to the University’s highest two positions.  Dr. Mishoe is set to start her tenure on January 28th, 2018.  Many responsibilities come with this territory.  Dr. Mishoe has the experience from previous Universities and Boards plus a supportive staff which crowns her a great nominee for this job.


Dr. Wilma Mishoe along with 3 other siblings, were born to Luna and Hattie Mishoe and raised in Dover, Delaware.  This family was prestigious from the start with Dr. Luna serving time as a Tuskegee Airman in World War II followed by a 27-year run as President of Delaware State College. I am a proud parent of a son with Tourette's Syndrome and several other co-morbidities. I write on this blog to educate other parents so they know a bit more about not only special education, but all the really bad things that are happening with public schools in Delaware and the USA. We are all in this together, and if our children aren't able to advocate for themselves it's up to us parents! We need to stop letting companies run our schools, and demand our children get a proper education. Our Departments of Education in our states have become weak with fear from the bullying US DOE, and we need to take back our schools!
