Delaware had representatives, including teachers and parents, who participated in each step of the process outlined above. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.         1. And was this email from Ryan Reyna or Penny Schwinn? And did whomever provide a list of WHICH Delaware teachers and parents participated in the achievement level setting? DOE will always give you vague answers to a complicated question. The fact that you trust them is very dangerous. You have no idea what these people are capable of.

          1. I have not looked at the links she supplied…busy day here at the office. I wouldn’t say that I “trust” them, but I don’t “distrust” them at this point yet. However, I did email them.

          2. They will give you the answers you think you want, but they will never get into the actual truth. I have published numerous emails from them and busted them in lie after lie after lie. Just poke around my articles, especially in regards to AFWG and ESEA Flexibility Waivers. Look at the FOIAs I’ve published. Their public persona is VERY different than what they do behind closed doors…

          panel to deliberate and make
          recommendations on all four achievement levels. A diverse cross-section of teachers participated, representing grades 3-8 and
          high school in English language arts and math. Educators with experience teaching students with disabilities and English language learners also participated, helping ensure the levels accurately reflect achievement for all students.
          Purpose: The online panel allowed educators, parents, and other concerned citizens to have unprecedented input on achievement levels.”

          So who do you think Delaware nominated? Those in bed with Rodel and their “Dream Team” of teachers, community and business leaders aligned with Markell and certain legislators, and so forth. This was all rigged from the get-go. But what this doesn’t tell you is that the vendor for Smarter Balanced, American Institutes for Research, who pretty much designed this test across all states using it, ALSO helped design the test the achievement levels were based on: The NAEP (National Assessment of Educational Progress). So students are measured between two tests designed by the same company. Would it ever be beneficial for them to have students do really great on these tests? Hell no. Then they are rendered invalid and are no longer needed. If you can’t see through this game, I don’t know what proof you need.

          1. My understanding was that DE pulled those who were Teachers of the Year. I may be wrong but I know someone on the current committee for SB and that is how she got there.
