Back To Work

Back To Work

After six weeks, I am doing something I haven’t done.  Going back to work.  Thanks to my hernia and a surgery, I have been home for the past month and a half.  I haven’t been glued to a bed, but I did have some restrictions which limited my capabilities of performing my essential job functions.  My mind has been ready, but the body needed to heal.  That is now a thing of the past, and I am ready!  I’m sure the DOE is super excited for this.  It’s been a very interesting six weeks, filled with discovery and insight.  On a personal, spiritual, and pain level.

This blog will still post on the weekends, but most likely they will be scheduled posts.  Unless I can squeeze something in at night!  There is one story that’s been brewing for a loooooong time, and it looks like something is going to break very soon on it.  It involves a…. nah, that would be telling.

  1. I was wondering how you were getting so much done. My most productive blogging times were when I was not working. Also the travel time from Hockessin to Dover puts a damper on things. I guess that is what DOE is counting on. The thing about being an involved public school parent is by definition you have children and (hopefully) a job.

  2. Kevin, Didn’t realize you had had surgery; glad all went well and you are having an uneventful (medically-speaking)l recuperation.  We are the fortunate beneficiaries of all you have learned during this time.  Lorrie In school you’re taught a lesson and then given a test.  In life you’re given a test that teaches you a lesson.–author unknown From: Exceptional Delaware To: ljog1@yahoo.com Sent: Saturday, October 3, 2015 5:21 AM Subject: [New post] Back To Work #yiv5410347811 a:hover {color:red;}#yiv5410347811 a {text-decoration:none;color:#0088cc;}#yiv5410347811 a.yiv5410347811primaryactionlink:link, #yiv5410347811 a.yiv5410347811primaryactionlink:visited {background-color:#2585B2;color:#fff;}#yiv5410347811 a.yiv5410347811primaryactionlink:hover, #yiv5410347811 a.yiv5410347811primaryactionlink:active {background-color:#11729E;color:#fff;}#yiv5410347811 WordPress.com | Kevin Ohlandt posted: “After six weeks, I am doing something I haven’t done.  Going back to work.  Thanks to my hernia and a surgery, I have been home for the past month and a half.  I haven’t been glued to a bed, but I did have some restrictions which limited my capabilities o” | |

  3. Faith if first, Family second, and duties of job fit in somewhere down the pike. And don’t worry about the blog. You will find somehow the time you need to write what’s on top of your mind.. And though a lot of other stuff gets left unsaid, what’s important still gets posted and you will find the effect is stronger since it is not buried in 10 -12 posts. Trust that whatever you feel is worth being said, is exactly the right thing that needs to be said… Don’t know the details of “how” it always works that way, but trust it and let it work through you.. For example, depending on your sleeping habits, You may find yourself up in the middle of the night, and instead of going to bed, just read on line and something will jive and in 20 minutes your post is done, and you will sleep like a baby… What happens to that post after you’ve posted is irrelevant. It then takes a life of its own. But somehow it all does work out. Bottom line, don’t worry. Just Be Happy..
