I am hearing from sources that House Bill 50 will be on the agenda for another vote by the full House. I say, at this point in time, just vote yes, not matter what amendments are on it. I had my anger today, but at the end of the day, it’s still the same bill, codifying a parents right to opt-out. And making it so schools are held accountable for their actions with opt-out and not accountable for the results of opt-out. At the end of the day, it’s about that. I’ve talked to many parents today, and we want this. Let the chips fall where they may, but let’s bring this to Governor Markell’s desk!

I am a proud parent of a son with Tourette's Syndrome and several other co-morbidities. I write on this blog to educate other parents so they know a bit more about not only special education, but all the really bad things that are happening with public schools in Delaware and the USA. We are all in this together, and if our children aren't able to advocate for themselves it's up to us parents! We need to stop letting companies run our schools, and demand our children get a proper education. Our Departments of Education in our states have become weak with fear from the bullying US DOE, and we need to take back our schools! View all posts by Kevin Ohlandt
Reblogged this on Who's Minding the Children? and commented:
You can’t reason with unreasonable people, so kill it or pass it. One way or the over, be done with it. The House can demonstrate to Delaware voters whether or not our legislators listen and care about parents, teachers or students.

Anyone reading this site should reflect on the 11 yes votes for Sokola’s amendment and question the commitment and consideration these self-proclaimed senatorial “education experts” have for the children and parents of Delaware. That amendment didn’t pass itself and I’d be curious as to rhyme or reason for either of these contrived additions to HB 50. Anyone? anyone? Beuller?
